Trudy Loper, whose mother and grandmother were also artists, has always enjoyed making beautiful things.  She earned her B.S. Interior Design at the Univ. of Texas, Austin.  But as a stay-at-home homemaker and mom she did not pursue the Interior Design profession.

While her sons were growing up, she renewed her interest in the Fine Arts, and began working in oils.  It wasn’t until her sons were in High School that she had the opportunity to take college level art courses.

While pursuing her graduate degree at A & I Univ. Kingsville, TX. , Trudy taught college level (Freshman) Art as Graduate Assistant.

After earning her M.S. degree in Art, in 1970, she continued her art education with graduate level college hours in Studio Art and Art History at Sam Houston St. Univ. in Huntsville TX.  Since then Trudy has continued to work in many media including Pottery, Oil, Acrylic, Pastel painting and Conte’ Drawing.

Trudy has taught art for many years.  Her art students range in age from 12 years throughout the adult ages and include intermediate school, high school, college, and adult recreational painters.
