Years ago, decades actually, I studied fine arts and graduated with two degrees thinking I would become an artist.  My strengths were in design and painting.  Instead, I married, taught art history and Montessori education, and was an academic administrator.  Only when I retired did I return to painting.  I am much indebted to the existence of the Visual Arts Club and the Williamson Art Guild and their and their creative members.  As an artist, I think outside the box and enjoy the challenge of solving a problem.  I can resolve my artistic dilemmas with the help of friends and other teachers in the pursuit of a finer work of art. 512-868-1277 jtommen@verizon.net
