I moved to Austin the summer of 2004, and have some favorite spots in and around Austin, see my list below! I am married to another teacher, Eric Mann.  Eric teaches Mathematics at the Khabele School in downtown Austin. Together, with our two adopted dogs (see the cuties at bath time  below!) 

we regularly foster dogs through Central Texas Dachshund Rescue. We have also taken in three stray dogs off the street, so in the last 2.5 years, we have had nine foster dogs! I am an active volunteer with CTDR in other capacities too:  I currently interview potential adoptive families, I'm on the fundraising committee and I'm designing cards and tee shirts for the rescue group as well. I also love renovating our house, which was built in 1956. I've become a real estate hobbyist, and we are working on purchasing another property to renovate and resell.

In the meantime, I contribute to a modern home community wiki, Move Modern.com about modern architecture around the country. I also do yoga, garden and try new  recipes, I love to cook. I think life is best when mundane routines become fun and adventurous!
