PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
From 1983 to 1999, Laurel owned and ran
Daniel Graphics, a freelance graphic design business in the San
Francisco Bay Area. In 1999, she moved to Austin, Texas and returned
to oil painting “just for fun” after a 20-year break. It soon became
a full-time passion and she began exhibiting and selling her work
professionally. In 2005, she joined the painting faculty at the
Austin Museum of Art School.
