ANN GARRARD has been studying and practicing Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy since 1990.  Her first teachers were Iweeta McIntosh and Brandy Thomas in Dallas.  She has also attended workshops led by Phyllis Case Bennett from California, Jean Shen from California and Karen Fitzsimmons in Santa Fe.  Ann is a member of The Association of Oriental Arts and displays work in their annual show at the Irving Art Center; she is also a member of the Sumi-e Society of America.  She has taught classes for the Visual Arts Club since 2002.
