Judy Ghetti Ommen grew up in Massachusetts where her love of art began in the Boston Museums visiting with her parents. With an M.F.A. in oil painting, she started teaching art history in Milwaukee with Marquette
University's Continuing Education Program. Judy completed a doctorate in education and shifted into academic administration which included directing continuing education, Elderhostel, and visiting professor programs in the arts and business. Finally the opportunity to PAINT resumed upon retirement in June 2004.  Now Judy defines herself as a painter whose interests are in Chinese brush painting, collage, pastel and drawing. Participation in the Visual Arts Club workshops, friendship and contact with other members, and studio opportunities are her strongest motivators.
