Jeanne Lubey and her husband, Darrel, moved to Sun City on August 1st. While unpacking, Jeanne's first priority was to join the Visual Arts Club to fulfill her desire to spend more time oil painting. Landscapes are her specialty; however, presently she is painting family portraits and strumming her dulcimer with friends and neighbors in the newly founded Dulcimer Players Club (her idea).  Jeanne  teaches a beginner class in oils in the studio Wednesday mornings and evenings.

Jeanne earned a Master degree in Art Education from Kutztown University (PA) at the age of 48. She taught art  as an elementary teacher and later  to college students at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Jeanne was an Art Education Consultant for public schools in Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois, Kansas, and Louisiana.

Jeanne is thrilled that the Visual Arts Club of Sun City offers the opportunity to learn and to share one's love for the arts.
