Featured Artist for July:

Betty Lemley, a native Kansan,, moved to Texas in 1948 and to Sun City in 1996.  She has several degrees in art and has done graduate work in Santa Fe and Rome in painting and art history. Extremely versatile, Betty works in watercolor, pastels, oils, acrylics, pen and ink and has also done monoprints and print making. She has taught and exhibited extensively and has works in major private and corporate collections throughout the U.S.   Natural forms, particularly landscapes, are her main source of inspiration. One of her latest works is reproduced here; the original is on display in the Activities Center.
