Feature Artist Bill Lacy

Bill Lacy moved to Sun City this year and immediately joined the Visual Arts Club. We first met him in January when he was making the decision to move to our community. Bill retired from the military but has been an accredited artist in the U.S. Air Force Art Program since 1987. He paints contemporary and historical Air Force subjects. His work is on permanent display in the Air Force Art Collection in Washington D.C., and is also displayed at the Pentagon, the Smithsonian Air Space Museum, and at Major Command Headquarters. Air Force artists are not compensated monetarily but donated their work to the USAF collection. He has much to share about his art and the experiences of painting for the Air Force. We hope you have the opportunity to visit with him at the Air Force Art Show Reception on Sunday, May 25^th in the Atrium of the Activities Building from 3-5 pm. We are so please to call Bill one of our own.
