Feature Artist May 2007
“There is something magical about approaching each new subject and there are always new paintings formulating in my subconscious. I may plan a painting in my mind for months before actually touching a brush to paper. After that the watercolor tends to take on a life of its own.” Lula Junker
Lula is a native Texas and has been a member of the VAC since July, 2002 when she moved to Sun City to be near her daughter Katie. She has taught watercolor painting for many years, first with children and later with adults. After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, Lula continued to paint and teach from her home. Lula derives a great deal of joy from her teaching because it inspires her to do the best that she can.
Lula inspires all of us with her courage and determination as she faces the challenges of daily life.
