Bob Douglass

Bob Douglass holds doctoral and masters degrees from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.  In concert with his professional practice in hospital architecture and healthcare planning, he has held faculty appointments at Rice University, the University of Texas School of Public Health and at Texas A&M, where he was the Thomas A. Bullock Endowed Professorship in Leadership and Innovation.  He took up watercolor painting on an Elderhostel trip to Sedona in 2000 and now also works in pastel, oil and acrylic.  He enjoys working outdoors from nature, “when the weather is nice and the bugs stay home”.  He has completed workshops with several noted plein-air artists, including Matt Smith, Ralph Oberg, Jane Jones, Chris Morel, Elizabeth Sandia and Denise Malhke.  Bob’s bios have appeared in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the South and Southwest.
